Melanie

Melanie was born in Italy in 1980 from an italian father and a dutch mother. She immediately approaches the wonderful world of music thanks to her family, listening to all kinds of music. Her career starts at the age of 16, as solist singer of a funky-acid jazz cover band in Piedmont. One year later she also performs as back vocal in another cover band of Turin. In 1998, besides singing in live bands, Melanie starts to perform as a freestyle vocalist in Turin and in other parts of Piedmont. During the following years she gets the opportunity to work in the most famous clubs of Turin such as Big Club, Hennessy, Rock City, Pick Up, Jammin', Privilege and La Gare. In 2002 Melanie enlarges her horizons thanks to the famous Sunday evenings at Café Solaire (Milan) and starts to work with deep house dj's. This music gives her the right inspiration to free her soul with great free-style vocals. After this experience she soon spreads her skills, becoming well-known in most of the best Italian clubs, thanks to the ability of improvising on stage with her powerful voice and also works at some house and pop productions like "Turn the beat around" (Relight Orchestra). Among the clubs where she has performed: Famous Club (Moscow), La Suite (Marrakech), Villa delle Rose (Riccione),Café Solaire (Milan),Tocqueville (Milan), Pineta (Milano Marittima), Peter Pan (Riccione) Sottovento (Porto Cervo), Bambù (Mantua), Sesto Senso (Desenzano d.Garda), Dehor (Desenzano d.Garda), Hennessy (Turin), La Mela (Napoli), Dolce Vita (Salerno) and many more. She is now busy with some new productions together with Maurizio Gubellini, Carmine Sorrentino (Jimmy'z Montecarlo) and many more dj's and producers. Soon new deep house productions will be released. Besides singing her songs, she writes the texts and the melodies. Thanks to her music knowledge, Melanie is always willing to experiment new styles of music.
